Getting StartedTo initiate a printing or copying job, you need to do two things: deliver the hard copy originals or source files to the Copy Center, and contact the staff to discuss what you need, when you need it, and how you'll pay for it. If you have hard copy originals, you can deliver them to the Copy Center, and discuss any special needs and payment with the staff at that time. If you are submitting originals electronically, you can follow the directions below to submit the files, then contact the staff to discuss the details of your project and how you'll pay for it. Submitting Your File ElectronicallyThe Copy Center can produce high quality copies from files in most formats (Microsoft Word, PDF, etc.; call if you are unsure). If you are located in the Educational Sciences building, you can copy your file to the Copy Center Print Queue (directions below). This is a folder on a shared network drive on the SOE-AD network. If you aren’t in the Educational Sciences building, contact the Copy Center at 263-3450 to find out the most efficient method for submitting your file. Depending on the size of the file, you may be able to e-mail it, or you may have to submit it on a CD, flash drive, or floppy disk. Follow these directions to submit a file to the Copy Center Print Queue. Windows Users:
Mac Users:WCER Mac users have a Copy Services Print Queue icon on their dock. Follow these directions:
Contact the Copy Center and Arrange for PaymentIf you want your job to be high priority, call the Copy Center at 263-3450 and speak to Sue LaLuzerne or Bonnie Sullivan. Tell them the name of the file and which folder you put it in. Also, include information such as when you need the file, how many copies you need, etc. If your job is not urgent (you don't need it for a few days), you can send Sue or Bonnie an e-mail message with the same information. (Sue LaLuzerne smlaluze@wisc.edu or Bonnie Sullivan blsulliv@wisc.edu). Once you've made contact with the Copy Center staff, you can stop by the Copy Center and fill out a job ticket, or discuss the billing information with Sue or Bonnie when you call.
